This saddle is part of the new Fairfax Classic range.  A high-comfort GP particularly suitable for the discerning rider who enjoys all types of riding and competition, but also wants to enjoy a little extra luxury and support from their saddle. The horse meanwhile, benefits from Fairfax’s fitting features and girthing options thanks to all the research and development that has gone into our Performance Products.

The Fairfax Classic GP benefits from all the features common to every Classic saddle (see design details below), plus the following comfort-enhancing details.

  • A comfortable and supportive seat allowing the rider to get the most from their hours in the saddle
  • The design and placement of the billets gives four girthing options to fine-tune the fit to the horse’s shape and movement

Launched in 2010, the Olympus is our best selling general purpose saddle to date.  The Olympus is built on an English wooden spring tree using the finest English and European leathers.  The panels are flocked with 100% wool.  Latex is used to provide an extremely comfortable seat and pads.  This saddle offers a secure seat position and is suitable for all types of horse, including high withered thoroughbreds.  Options include Velcro or standard knee rolls or blocks.  Also available in VSD or forward cut jumping style.

The Oxford is made using an English wooden spring tree and the finest English and European leathers. The panels are flocked with 100% wool and are extra wide, providing a good surface bearing. Latex is used in the seat and pads provide an extremely comfortable seat. The Oxford is made on the same tree as the Ray Working Hunter, providing excellent stability on wide horses. This saddle is also ideal for Fell ponies. This saddle is available with a Velcro system or standard knee rolls or blocks.

Kent and masters compact g.p

Compared to our Standard GP model, the Compact GP is compact for its size, has a neat seat, slimmer rear gussets and the tree is shorter and slightly flatter on the underside. This saddle is ideal for shorter backed, croup high or flat backed horses. It is a very good option for the petite rider on a large pony/small horse.

Ghosted stitching allows knee pad to contour over the knee-roll and hide-covered calf pad make this a high comfort GP. Cut forward enough to accommodate a jumping leg position. 
Open-headed tree and well-balanced panel make this a very universal fitting saddle.

This superior S-Series GP saddle offers a different feel to our Original GP and petite, slim riders or those with narrower hips may feel it suits them better. It is available in low wither panel option. The seat is compact and neat, which means it a great option for the petite rider on a large pony or small horse.
